LL's 2013 CHARGE TTi Quick Review
on: July 01, 2013, 02:51:35 PM
Hey guys. This is my short review for the Leatherman Charge TTi. This is a short review, and there will be a in-depth one with pictures soon.

The leatherman charge TTi is the one of the best MTs out there. The pliers are sturdily made, and the tip is very well made. However, after some use, I have found out that the wire cutters don't interlock well. Also, I could use S30V. Replaceable wire cutters. The blade is beautifully made, out of S30V steel, and with a clip point. Also, the scissors work very well, but the size is a tad bit small. Overall, it is a magnificent tool, but I see some potential upgrade needed in it.

Nice, quick review :tu:  I agree about the replaceable wire cutters.  I love them on my Rebar.  I also agree about the scissors and their size.  I prefer and carry SAK scissors, so that's not as much of a factor anymore.  I like the looks of the new handle scales too, and wish I had them for my TTi.

Nice mod! What did you use to "groove" out the original wire cutter?

just a dremel tool. that is all you need to take off to get it to close with the scissors.

The pliers are from the Rebar, right?

ya, I really like it now. the wire cutters are really good. they are made from harder steel then the non replaceable ones and can be sharpened or replayed. I also really like the pliers better too. I was able to take a splinter out of my hand the other day, something that I have never been able to do with any other leatherman.
