Value of NIB MP400 W/Corkscrew?

I recent aquired a mint in clamshell MP400 Corkscrew, and I am unsure if I should open it. It is my understanding that this variant is somewhat rare and discontinued. Does anyone know tht the value of a NIB one would be?

I am considering letting this one go and getting the cheaper standard version. I would appreciate any insight you can provide.

Well, it's certainly uncommon and discontinued, but I'm not sure that it's worth much (if any) more than a standard one. I certainly can't think of anyone who is so desperate for one that they are going to pay much over the ticket price to get one.

Give some of the collectors a chance to turn up and see if they are interested before you open it though.

I picked mine up for about $30-35 IIRC

but that wasn't NIB ....

Two used ones sold for $31 in the past month and a half from the same seller. Maybe you'd get a few $$ more for a NIB one.
