Hello everyone, New to the board and looking for the perfect alternative to a leatherman anyone?? must be in black, innovative, solid oh and less than $200. Any suggestions??

Welcome to the forum 

"Perfect" is very subjective, and not all tools suit all people, but I would look at Swisstool and Swisstool Spirit, both of which can be obtained in black, but sometimes take a bit of tracking down. Also look at Gerber MP600 and MP400. There's lots of information about all those tools here on the forum

I would ask the same, but the Swisstools are agreed to be excellent alternatives with great quality and Swiss Army Knife proven tools, also designed with the help of Leatherman himself.

Most of the SOG lineup are available in black plus as you can buy the individual tools easy to customise.  If you go for a compound leverage model it also ticks your innovative box. 

However I too want to know why no Leathermans?

I would have said SOG too - I have a black Paratool I've been carrying around with me for years in the UK.
The Power Pliers are great too
