Mythbusters Leatherman

Hi all! First of all, let me say, I am a new member here at Multi-tool.org and a HUGE Leatherman fan. This is my first post within the Leatherman fan page, and I did some searching before posting but didn't come up with what I was looking for so here goes...

I am, as I am sure a lot of us are, a big fan of Mythbusters. Never miss an episode. I swear that I once saw an episode where Adam was using either a Wave or a Charge (probably a Charge) that had "Mythbusters" stamped in the scales. I can't, for the life of me, remember which episode it was. Does anyone else remember seeing that particular show and tool? And, more importantly, does anyone have any idea where one might locate a "Mythbusters" Leatherman!? I have scoured the internet for one to no avail. I have also yet to hear back from Leatherman's customer service about it, and I even sent an email to an address that was purported to be a Mythbusters email address.

Firstly, welcome!

The media forum has many threads attributed to MT sightings (usually Leatherman or SAKs) on Mythbusters. I do not recall ever seeing a personalized LM, but I have only recently started paying attention to such things. If I had to guess, the Mythbuster labeled LM is probably a one-off or something done aftermarket, such as a personalized gift. Leatherman does not really do the celebrity series tools like Gerber with it's Bear Grylls line. I am sure you could get your personal Leatherman custom engraved or etched, though.

Btw, I love the Mythbusters and can't wait for the new episodes to start back up!

Yeah, knowing the MB guys (especially Adam), I wouldn't put it past them to remove the scales from a Charge, machine their own, and stamp them with the "Mythbusters" logo. Oh, well. I'd still love to be able to email Adam and ask him myself. I read that he has a tendency to break a lot of the tools on his Leatherman and I'm not above asking him to relinquish a broken one to a fan!
