Schnelle Engineering?
on: August 13, 2013, 01:02:35 PM
Anybody have any of their tools? I found this one on Amazon for $8 and figured I'd give it a shot...
http://www.amazon.com/Schnelle-B101-Keychain-Pocket-Black/dp/B00DH2GU8O/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1376391453&sr=1-2

It's actually really useful and lightweight. I'm honestly surprised that there's no mention of it on here. My review is on the Amazon page, the only review (as of right now).
This is gonna hurt...

Looks like a cool little tool. Nice find. Good review as well. I like the fact that its Aluminum to keep the weight down. I might order one up. the key chain tool edc needs to lose some weight.

Ha! I actually happened to look at that item and read your review on Amazon before coming back to the forums. :D

I'm currently trying to replace a few items and fill a few roles in my EDC. I've ordered one of the B101's to play with, and kind of want to try a B102 later.

I am kind of worried about how small the tools are for prying/bottle opening.

For bottle opening, it works just fine. Don't try to pry open steel doors with it, but paint cans and the like are fine.

Nice. A little hole for lanyard/keyring would be a good idea. Would make it lighter and easier to carry/keep track of.

Well, I've gotten my B101 in the mail.

It's very small and offers a good selection of functions. My only complaint so far is that due to the short length you need quite a bit of force to actually open a bottle. Buuut it does it fairly well and the short tail as it is might interfere with the attachment point.

All-in-all it's very compact and lightweight while still offering a good amount of function. It's going on my EDC keychain. :D
