Leatherman bit kit for Bit driver models
on: May 05, 2008, 11:06:24 PM
Do you have one, and if so, how do you wear it?

I used to carry my Charge on my left, Crunch and Kit on my right. I got tired of carrying 2 pouches on my right, so I put one kit in the Charge sheath and another one in my Crunch sheath (Wave sheath). But that ostensibly stretched my sheaths out, now the tools are rather loose in the sheaths. So I might start carrying the kit with sheath around again, but on another part of my pants, which I hope doesn't irritate me.

What are your thoughts?

I have a charge in a leather sheath, same problem have to carry extra bits all the time now. Ever consider carrying an EDC bag? Maxpedition bag lines looks pretty cool.

Never had the bit Kit for any of the tools or for that matter andy extentions or extra bits. Just too much to carry.

I've only ever carried one bit kit at a time. More often than not it's just slipped into my back pocket as an afterthought. :-\

I never carried the whole bit kit. But 3 or 4 bits with my pocket change.

I mostly pocket carry my Charge using the clip so no bits for me.  Now I'm carrying a Skeletool CX and same thing goes for it.  I'd say 95% of the time I need a #2 phillips anyway so it's not been an issue.

I carry a Surge at work w/o bits. But, I usually have a nylon pouch with a customized bit card in it. I don't see the point in carrying two!

If your Charge comes with a clip, that clip is your friend.  Put the Charge in you pocket, the bits in the pouch.

Or just get one of these, and stuff everything in that!! http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=4&idproduct=433
