Glad to hear you're feeling better and back to work.  It's cooled off around my neck of the woods, it was a chilly 66 degrees this morning at 6:30am.  Almost went back in the house for a coat.

On topic, I have to say I've enjoyed this thread, I'm still not totally sure I want an OHT, but I'll probably get one to try.  Large over all with small tools, no file and no scissors.  Just not sure where that's going to fit into my arsenal.

Thanks for posting this and for all the pics and thoughts!

I thought it is time for something new.

well I am home for the weekend

it was a long chilly day today.

the oht came in handy a few times today.

the one handed pliers saved my butt when I had to shut off a leaking water spigot and only had one hand I could use. It was a very low crawlspace. I would have had to crawl out open my tool and crawl back. A trip I'm glad I didn't have to retake because the oht could do the job.

now I'm going to take a very long very hot shower.

being cold and wet sucks Smurf

Almost 10000 views thanks everyone for following. :salute:

does anyone have a question about the o.h.t.

I've tried to get a decent pic off all the different tools in use if I've missed something your wondering about please ask :)

a few quick thoughts of mine on the o.h.t.

the action is as smooth as the day I got it. Every tool opens and closes easy with one hand locking / unlocking easily.

I need to get a pic of the little locking twist tab on one side of the tool . I rarely use it but its a nice feature. Its opposite the threaded whole for a gun cleaning rod. It holds the plier closed if you don't want it to slide open while using one of the outboard tools.

the blade holds a ok edge but I'd pay more for a better blade steel.

a civilian o.h.t. Is need with a file and a scissors again a upgraded blade steel would be a plus.

I like the rescue blade but I know most people would prefer a file .

i also think most would prefer a scissors to a serrated blade.

I'd like to see all of the above with a s30v combo edge blade. But that's me :) I know many would prefer plane edge.  :multi:

I'd like to see more colors and a stainless model.

I still have to pack the tool full of snow/ice and see if it will open.

one of my favorite saws on a multitool.

the black oxide coating is better than sog's but Victorinox's black oxide coating is way better.

I spend too much time thinking about my tools

the sheath is useable. It should hold up well but I'd prefer a leather sheath with a snap closer. There is no storage slot .

I'd also prefer a bit holder to the Phillips driver again that's just me.

I've used my o.h.t. Hard and its held up to all my abuse and still works flawlessly

I still have no plans on replacing my oht as my work tool but I will be adding my swisstool to my bag for winter . I normally would carry only one.

I still have a coyote oht I won from M.T.O I want to carry but that is going to be a topic of its own. Its resting in a digi camo skinith. :)

well that is enough thinking. :P

I've really enjoyed watching this thread  and it's great to see folks paired up with a tool that works so well for them  :salute: Personally, I still dislike the tool, but that doesn't stop this being a great thread  :D. For me the tool is too big, the blades and saw too small, no awl, no scissors, I have no need whatsoever for the strap cutter and O2 wrench ... and it's bloody ugly

I'm still going to keep watching this thread though - keep up the good work mate :salute:
