My thoughts on the Sunwayman C15A

The fit and finish of the light is great. All the milling is perfect. I like the lanyard attachment and the ability to attach the light to other things. The lanyard ring has never backed out on me and I have confidence in it staying in. The milling to make it anti-roll works, but does not inspire confidence. It is a smooth reflector and makes a nice clean beam with decent throw. I have been running it on regular AA's. I have not put a Ultimate Lithium in it yet. I like that the Strobe and SOS are activated by double clicking, but I find myself accidentally activating the strobe. I also find it very hard to locate the ON button just by feel. I had a friend of mine test it out and he thought the same. It has physical reverse battery protection which is nice to know, but I doubt I will ever use it. There is no pocket clip which for some reason I thought there was. Stupid me.  :twak: That's a huge bummer since I wanted to carry it so it is now the light I use around the house.

I am concerned the switch or circuitry might be a little wacky. I would click it on and nothing would happen than I click it again 2-4 seconds later and the strobe comes on. The light thinks it turned on high the first click. I also got it to stop working completely when I turned it upside down with the low-voltage Indicator Lamp facing up and it would not turn on for 8-10 clicks. The things it does like that are sporadic, but have happened.

I think it's a good light, but the sporadic behavior of the light makes me loose all confidence in it. If not for that I would be much happier with the light. We will see how it holds up.

It's a good looking light Cap but, like you, the lack of a pocket clip kinda turns me off.  Might it be possible to rig up something that would be attached under the lanyard screw?
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Hmmm.... possibly.  Did you have something in mind? Sounds interesting.

Yea it did a few weird things last night after I posted this thread. Most memorable was not working for a few clicks again.   >:(

Sorry to hear of the troubles Cap'n  :( I only have one Sunwayman, a V10R, and it's excellent!
