Wave Prices in your Country?
on: September 11, 2013, 11:20:07 PM
Hey, I just wanted to know how much a Wave costs in your country.
Maybe I posted this because I wanted to feel better knowing I wasn't ripped off too badly.

Canada: $75 to $85

$50-$60 NIB on Amazon in the USA. Many places charge more, but they can be had for the $50-$60 price range very easily.

a NIB Black Oxide Wave is $67 on Amazon right now.

This is really making me want a BO Wave.

Does the BO Wave have the Cap Crimper? Do they have two different BO Wave models? I feel like I should already know this.

In the main picture it HAS the cap crimper, but in the smaller pictures it does not.

the standard SS Wave does not have a cap crimper, but there is also a SS version with the CC available.  it wouldn't surprise me if the BO Wave also had CC and non-CC versions.

I've been casually monitoring Ebay recently (USA) and the Wave's go for wildly ranging prices. I've seen rusted Waves go for $50, and brand new waves go for $35. It's very strange. The average seems to be near $40, but they go higher and lower with no regards to quality.

A Micra was about 50 euro, a couple of years back.
The Wave must be over 100 euro, as the MUT was about 160 at the time and prices have gone up.

Switzerland
Wave: 100 - 250 USD
Charge TTi (No bit kit): 140 - 350 USD  ???
MUT: 170 - 280 USD

For those who check my numbers, I have rounded up and added about 10 USD, cause the cheapest most likely have shipping cost and or other additional fees (did not check in detail though).
Thanks toppreis.ch for showing us who has good prices and who is a crook.

I'm afraid so. It's vicious out there and even more so for certain products. That's why I'm glad to live in the U.S. but it goes both ways. There are products overseas that I would like to get here but can't. Sometimes Amazon is good enough to carry them but not always. I'll tell you another place that has some very neat items but makes out like a bandit on the shipping is CountyComm...

In the UK, highstreet price for a Wave is around about £100 which is $160 US.

A good online price would be about £65 ($100US).

Obviously if you shop around you can find them for more money but who would want to do that?

That is kinda scary. I probably couldn't survive in Switzerland with these prices for MTs.

The wide range of LM Wave around the year is crazy, so wild that I can't believe why some of the retailers in certain countries were able to keep stock since there exist so many reliable way to get in online nowadays.

I have to check the local retailer prices, it is no longer as popularly seen as it used to 10 years ago.  But a LM wave should lay around 70-80US locally.

On the other hand, despite SAK products have such significant price difference(I observe roughly around a ~50% markup usually), Victorinox retail shops still surviving quite well in all the major premium shopping center locally.
