I just got my Fenix L2D

I was travelling for 6 days to different parts of the country and I just arrived last night. Actually, the package notice arrived the day I left, so I just got my L2D and my KM1 from the post office only today. I ordered both flashlight and knife (ten days apart) from from Fenix Store.

Unlike what I have read in forums, my L2D Q5 remembers the last setting before I turn it off and it doesn't give a burst of 150 lumens when turning on.

The KM1 is a small sweet knife. I love them both and now I am now confident to order online.

Nice! will you be using rechargable? I've been using energizer non rechargable batteries and it aint practical.

I just tested the L2D and I use alkaline. I am still waiting for the 4 pcs. Sanyo Eneloop I ordered. It cost me 16.68USD delivered to a USA address (to a friend in California)

Tested again my L2D. It resets to factory setting after you turn it off, but definitely it doesn't give a burst of high intensity light when turning on.

Yep they fixed that problem a while ago.

duckman1975, if you want to use alkaline use costco's kirkland brand aa, about a quarter a piece and rumored to be rebadged duracell coppertop.

Duckman, If you go to Manila visit CD-R King store. They sell Sanyo Advanced Alkaline AA at 15 pesos each. I am using this battery on my L2D now. I was also able to buy a battery tester from CD-R King at 50 pesos. Very nice and handy tester. If you want pic I can post it later.

I have not yet fully tested my L2D. I just got it few hours ago and it is still 1:00 P.M. here.

Think got the older ones, they didn't fix the problem yet. try to look into ti will contact friends in the states, thanks for the heads up.

Very good price on the tester is it accurate? Thanks for the heads up also. By the way noticed that white light can't penetrate through fog, rain ans smoke light gets dispursed.

Doesn't give the exact voltage reading but it serves its purpose for me. It's pretty handy and you can use it to test AAA, AA, 9 volts cells and 1.5 button cells.

Stay away from Turbo mode for anything other than short bursts while you're using alkaline. It will eat them up very quickly. High mode is plenty bright anyway.
