Bear Grylls Series Thread
on: September 15, 2013, 02:28:24 AM
Hi, I'm just wondering how everyone likes the Bear Grylls series from Gerber.
You can also list your favourites and talk about them.
Thanks!

I have a couple of pieces and they really aren't bad. The multitools are identical to the regular line versions only with a rubberized grip which is a good thing. The knives seem to be pretty good as well. I have a couple and they are pretty nice, although the ones I have are the lower end ones.

I have given a few away and I've had no worries that they will fail anyone.

Why buy a regular Gerber MT, when you can get exactly the same one with Bear's initials on it for twice the cost?   :)

I think the equivalent may be the Suspension.

I dont know, I havent tried one., but watch out for fakes on ebay. I have seen a bunch of them at too low prices.

I've got the Bear Grylls Survival Tool Pack. I think it's actually pretty decent. I carry it in a backpack in my car.

I've played around with the Bear Grylls Mini Multi Tool, and like it as well. But then, I like the Clutch/Mini-Suspension/etc. line. This is one of the rare cases where the price on this thing dropped so far that if you can find it, it's a pretty excellent deal. You can usually find them for under $15 easily, and i think they're worth that.

Hi, if you check the Gerber 2014 catalogue, they have shown new BG items coming out next year, including new folding knives and more useless stuff.

The 2014 Gerber catalog is out and we don't have a thread dedicated to it? Outrageous!
