What? And call myself a collector? http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,29923.msg509514.html#msg509514
And if it were a Suspension or nothing...?
Look at the market it's aimed at as well, better than a $5 no-brand knock-off (which it is IMO), yet cheaper than any full sized Leatherman until the arrival of the Wingman. So it's wasn't meant to be the best, it was meant to fill a gap in the market, which it did very well.

But what I don't like is someone peeing on my head and telling me it's raining, and IMO that's what Gerber does with some of it's lower quality tools. Specially the Bear Grylls junk and over the top marketing hype that accompanies it like stink on a meadow muffin. But of course, they're not the only one's that do it. Just the most blatant with the BG garbage.
But be fair, the BG Strata did have its comedy value

I fiddled with a Suspension, and decided it was not worth the money. It seems to be the crappy design on which most knock-offs are now based. Which perplexes me greatly.I have $10 tools that impressed me more than the Suspension. In fact, I have PST knock-offs I like better. The Wingman is a better tool compared to the Suspension. That said, I would have bought it at $14 (the price posted earlier). It's now back up to $24, and at that cost, I'd just get the Wingman instead.I still like the Mini Suspension tools (or equivalent, Vice, etc.), particularly if you can find them for under $10.
