Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls

Yesterday I watched an episode of Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls on Discovery (I thought he got fired from discovery

) , and it was an orgy of Bear Grylls products. BG backpacks, BG jackets,BG hats, BG canteens, BG shirts and even a BG knife seremony where they draw BG knives out of a tree to draw assignments. And when someone had to leave at the end of the show they had to hand in their BG knives.

I found the show to be quite entertaining. Especially Bears dramatic entries if it looked like the contestants needed some help. He would come rappelling down a mountainside or sliding down a steep slope accompanied by brave music and the contestants going Aaaaaah! Ooooooo!. It was quite funny.

ok – its been a busy time but all great.
We start shooting Get Out Alive the new NBC summer reality adventure series imminently- am a little nervous but so excited! This is our biggest show we have ever done and we have almost chosen the final 20 people that I am taking to the wild!
We have also just re-signed to Discovery and I start shooting a whole new very cool survival series for them as soon as we wrap NBC

I assume the NBC shows were just something to keep him busy until he found a proper survival show again.

It is good to see him using his own tools as it shows that he actually believes in them, rather than just putting his name on them, a complaint that is very common regarding celebrities endorcing products (footballers, survivalists, chefs etc.).
