I just talk with Eddie, and he and his family are fine, Nikola. Surrounding provinces where he lives were

That's a relief.

I was just checking the local news and the pictures look frightening. They say at least 92 killed and many missing.

Gab is fine I think. He lives near my place in Metro Manila.

Thanks for all your concern guys. We are ok here. There are only minor damages to some buildings and broken glasses but no casualties in our city.
The island province of Bohol where the epicenter is located is now in the state of calamity after the 7.2 intensity quake struck At 8:12 A.M. yesterday.
The Island province of Cebu which lies between Bohol and our island province also suffered many casualties.
There churches were built during the Hispanic time and some are more than 600 years old are either badly damaged or totally destroyed. These churches are considered National Cultural Treasures for its cultural, historical and architectural importance to our people.

That's awful Eddie!

We look at 600 year old buildings as ancient, but in geological terms that's barely the blink of an eye. It's scary as anything when Mother Nature decides to remind us every now and then who is really in charge.
