I'm Rick, from SC
on: October 09, 2013, 02:45:29 AM
Hello all.  Some of you may recognize me from EDC forums or wetshaving forums.  I'm 35 y/o male.  Father of 4.  All boys.  Live with two with second wife.  I drive a truck and work in a warehouse for a small company.

I like sharp things.  I enjoy sharpening knives and sharpening straight razors and using them.

I have a LM Wave, Kick and Wingman.

My next purchases will be a bit kit and a M7 Toolette sheath from Skinth solutions.  I have an XL and don't care for it for my purposes.  I've considered a P2 as well.  Who knows?!  Skinths can be addictive it seems.  :)  I use my Jotter a lot.

I have several flashlights I use.  The DQG 18650 gets carried the most probably.  A Preon 0 stays on the keys.  Maratac AAA is usually in my pocket or close by.

I like keychain tools and gadgets but don't really like to carry them in my pocket.  I carry a backpack the majority of the time.

Fountain pens are pretty common in my things I carry and I have a few watches I switch back and forth from.  Most worn are G shock and Tag Heuer.

Hmm...how's that for an introduction?  :)  So, if you've seen me poking around now you know.  I've been looking for some infor here and there and some things in the f/s forum.

That's quite an intro. :D Welcome to MTO. You may recognise me from that other place too. ;)

Sharpening straight razors you say. I just found my Dovo yesterday and it's in need of restoration. Maybe you could provide some info on it. There's a thread about it in the edged subforum. :salute:

Glad you like the M7, Metro actually made that one for our 7th anniversary, that's why M and 7. :D

How are you liking the the DQG? Didn't know that George made a 18650 flashlight too, but I haven't been following his projects for a few years now. He does have some pretty cool ideas though. 47s got criticised pretty hard over on CPF for stealing his designs when they came out with the Preon 0.

Hope you like it here. We're a friendly bunch and don't be afraid to ask questions or bump old threads. Members here are always happy to help.

Send me your razor. I will sharpen it. Just pay return shipping.
I love the DQG. It's my mosh carries. Love how it fits in the pocket. I sold my first one to buy version two. Not sure of all diff. Takes protected batts.
