I was having chest pains for a few weeks. Went to the Dr who send me off for some tests. Unfortunately before I got those tests I ended up in emergency the following day. I had a massive heart attack and most of the damage was done by the time I got there. One artery already completely blocked. Spent a week in hospital and I am still recovering. I keep active enough and am not overweight but too much junk food between meals and too much stress along with a family history of heart disease has put me in this category at only 40 years old. Look after yourselves guys. Watch what you eat and see your doctor regularly. Don't leave it too late like I did.
Sorry to hear that, and hope you have a speedy recovery. I have an uncle who pasted away with a heart attack a few years back, and since then I have always carried some 300mg Aspirin(with no time delay coating) in my emergency med kit, just in case anyone who are suspicious of having a heart attack.I do highly recommend to ask your doctor about it, and to carry one with you at all times if possible.
Often it's just the genetics lottery and not simply lifestyle choices, but knowing how to help prevent heart disease is the best tool you have Get better soon.
