came up with this fancy thing (as featured on Hack a day):

rather cool imho, and I'd be tempted to get one myself... obviously its usefulness would run out once I'd tagged all my tools since I'm not a fabricator, but it would be a rather neat thing to have! I'm sure some of you would have even better uses for it...

Looks very interesting but $450 for the assembled device is a bit
out of my price range.
$180 only gets you parts that you need to assemble/solder yourself. It was interesting to watch though.

From what I read in the build thread it's 160$aud for the unassembled kit which is soldered, you just have to mount the board yourself... Check the Australian blade forum link

Yes I did, but I only read to the first price quote, Post #14.
He reduced the price later and added the soldering.
