It's my first one Antti. My son Noah had one for quite awhile. The blade is sharp and the lockup is good.

You can get through life just fine with a Dime. The tool deployment is stiff, but there is a lot of utility packed in there.

I've been playing around with it PN. It's starting to loosen up a bit, and I really enjoy trying that package opener on different things.

Found a Gerber tool at a local flea market yesterday for ten bucks. I didn't know exactly what it was, but recognized the patent numbers in the sheath in a display case as being similar to those as my Mr. Pinchy, so I immediately said "I'd take it" without looking at it.
In fact, this was all I could really see.
I pulled it from the sheath as soon as he handed it to me, and it turns out to be an older Multiplier (aka Mr. Pinchy) with the awl--in a factory leather sheath. I thought these were only offered in nylon?
Had some rust issues, but best I can tell, it wasn't used much. Blades are still sharp.
Tools: Going by this--1995-ish?
The factory leather sheath is so well-made, I didn't even think it was Gerber until I saw it embossed on the belt slot.
Not only had I been wanting a Mr. Pinchy with awl for years, but I forgot my MT that day, so it came in handy.

I like Shards (and Mullets), too. They are a good and cost-effective way to add extra functionality to your carry with very little bulk.

Yes, and having a nice little pry tool with you will save many knife tips from getting bent or snapped off. Ask me how I know.

Got gifted this MP 800 Legend, along a for-parts MP700 Urban Legend, and can say that I'm undewhelmed by it. After cleaning and using one of the 700 pivots to replace the broken one in the 800, and playing a bit with it, I can say that although a nice try by Gerber into the butterfly MT's it's just a porky Pro Scout in disguise; same tools (except for a beefier and longer large flat driver, they're the same implements as in the Pro Scout). Mind you that I'm a BIG fan of the MP 400/600 series and in no way I'm criticizing the implements, as I find them capable enough of anything, but I expected more of it. The one thing I like about it are its ergonomics, having arched and rounded handles, and no pressure points or pinching when gripping hard. Might be a good tool, but not a $164 USD tool in my eyes. Glad to have it in the collection, but not something I'll use often. [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I've always wondered about them. I've come across one or two over the years, but not nearly as many as the one hand opening models.

One of my latest Gerbers is this Armbar Scout.

Thus far, I've tested out the blade, scissors, and can opener. The blade is good and sharp and has handled everything I threw at it. The scissors are okay if you don't need precision tips; I think they work best on fabric, cordage, and other thicker things. The can opener is sort of in the middle of the pack; not the best I've ever used, but far from the worst.
The bad? The pocket clip. I'm not a fan of pocket clips, and this one not only has the usual bad qualities, it rarely allows the tool to sit flat. It also covers up entirely too much of the amazing green (which I wish was on both sides of the handle). The tools are a little tough to open, and an awl would have been nice.
But overall I like the Armbar Scout. It packs a good amount of utility into a fairly pocketable package. It will never replace SAKs, but it's fun when I want to carry or use something different.
Thanks to BPRoberts for sending it my way!
