What's your latest GERBER?

A strap cutter crucial. I'm pretty happy with it, that cutter is about the sharpest thing ever. Gonna go in my car, for sure.

I´m in Gerber mode at the moment.
I got two things lately. One bit kit for cheap.It turned up with a box and pouch with room for a multitool.
My guess is that it´s old because they show an old Pinchy in the instructions.
Sweet, it fits my Pinchys and Mp:s

And yesterday I got a Diesel one of the "modern"Gerber tools I´v never came around to try.
It feels nice.I know people here seems to prefer the Mp 600. But I was surprised how silent and rigid it feels.
The action is really smooth but I haven´t hard used it yet.
I would easily loose one of the three flatheads for one 3d phillips instead of the 2d.
The file have a to me strange third row of lines that I don´t see the use of.
It seems like it disrupt more than help the pattern.
If somebody else have a Diesel I would love to hear If they have he same kind of file, if it´s intended.
Here in comparassing to a Mp 600 and my well used Flik.

Yup, early to mid 90es. Mine came as a set with Gerber 4th Gen Multi Plier included, together with 6 hex bits and the bit holder. BTW mine says Multiplier on the sheath, no Gerber name or logo.

The multi-bit kit also slightly changed in late 90es and beginning of 00's when the first MP600s started to hit the streets and different sheath was introduced.

I also saw this kit with the 3rd Gen model, but not before.

Sell it and get the Diesel, if you want some of that old-school Gerber quality with sliding pliers. Yes, it still rattles and the tools length still leaves a lot to be desired but it's featured very well and does the job. I reach to mine much more often than I originally thought when I got it.

Or one of the blunt-nose MP600 or blunt-nose Proscout. Those blunt pliers are something Gerber shines at and Leatherman is still to catch up with.

How do you like the MP1?  I got one when they first came out and the prybar was so loose that it was almost like they forgot to use some washers so I returned it.  I am just wondering if they fixed those issues and it's safe to buy one again.  I liked the tool arrangement through other then the lack of some Fiskars scissors.

It is a decent tool, but it has its downfalls.
