You could use this negative event to people about the importance of the operational funds.I know that is not how you operate, but it would be funny.Donate, or we might not be able to stay online!!
That is true, and I didn't think of that at the time as I was in a panic Ok, I wasn't exactly panicking. JR and I were on Facebook though

JR and I were on Facebook though True, but I was getting worried I was like I can't get on mto why, why, why? Then got bored and went to sleep, but while waiting I did think of something and wondered, did anyone ever thinking of putting a chat room/box on here? JR
We did have a chatroom/box on here for a while, it wasn't worth it.That being said, if the server is having issues that's not going to work either so it's better to have alternatives like facebook or google+ for alternate means of contact.

Doesn't work! I have an account but don't use it. It's just there in case I need to get in touch with someone who does, and I can't get hold of them via other means. I have unsubscribed from as much crap as I can, and I still get the BS messages about pokes, people wanting to be friends, new messages (that don't exist) and other crap like contacts posting photos etc to try and lure me back in. What the dumb smurfs don't seem to get is that being an invasive PITA is what makes folks like me not want to use them in the first place. Just like Google they try and hijack/invade every part of your electronic usage, which is why I avoid them wherever possible. Socially acceptable malware is still malware.Bottom line, you can't fully opt out of emails unless you delete your account, and I dare say they'd still continue after that

Yeah, a lot of sites would use a ploy like that, but to be honest, this issue had absolutely nothing to do with the amount of money we have or haven't collected. It was a glitch in an add on to the forum that makes prettier URL's at the top so that search engines find it easier to catalogue us. The glitch was that it created too much information for our backup storage which crashed the whole server. That would have happened no matter what, and Whoey is constantly doing things behind the scenes to improve the forum in various ways. I hate asking for money when it's required, I sure as heck don't want to push for donations when they aren't an issue! Def
OK. New policy, inspired by reality TV shows. From now on, post as much as you like, but each post will cost you $.50. DefSent from a digital multitool
Ah, MySpace. I had a MySpace account a few years back after it had been the big thing for a good while. Never used it either. I just recently got onto Facebook after years of avoiding it. I was thinking that if I never used MySpace, why bother with Facebook. Then someone convinced/pestered me until I decided to get on.
D'oh! That was $0.50

Can I just pay for the next year based on my posts per day rate?
Quote from: Nhoj on November 19, 2013, 09:26:55 PMCan I just pay for the next year based on my posts per day rate? Also a $3 charge for every post I go over my limit. Deal?
