I only own one so I'll say my Wingman...but TBH it doesn't see much action.

I bought a wingman with the intention of abusing it, but it usually gets left at home in favor of my skeletool. So my skeletool sees more action.

My oldest (and only LM) that I have is an Original Supertool that was bought in 1994, so I’ve been using it for 20 years.

The Supertool was my only toolkit back in the days when I living in apartments. Nowadays the Supertool resides in the kitchen junk drawer and is used around the house. For a quick job, it’s easier to grab the LM rather than getting out the dedicated tools.  And isn’t that what multitools are for?

The Original Supertool has:
  • replaced outlets and light switches
  • fixed a vacuum cleaner (replacing that lever that locks the vacuum upright).
  • hammered nails  (hanging up pictures).
  • pulled nails out of walls
  • opened polyurathane cans, and got coated in the stuff,  but a bath in mineral spirits took care of that.
  • been left outside, overnight, in the damp. No rust.
  • sharpened hatchets, drawknives, and garden shears ( the file is pretty dull at this point)
  • sawed saplings
  • pulled saplings out of the ground.
  • cut coat hanger wire (I was MacGyering a tool to clear out a gutter).
  • replaced the washers in the bathroom sink
  • cut and trimmed all manner of cordage.
  • most recently, the pliers were used to unclog a perfume bottle that belongs to my spouse. Four months later, It still smells like perfume!

I owe the rust resistance to the polished finish, and maybe the steel LM used was different back then.

After 20 years of use, the file is dull,  and I can open the tool 3/4 of the way with a flick of the wrist like a butterfly-knife, but that’s it.

20 years of use. Here she is. There's still some epoxy smudges on her, but I'll take care of that with a mineral spirits bath.
