Warranty Disappointment
on:
November 28, 2013, 01:44:18 AM
I just got the replacement Charge AL back from LM, and found that they gave me one with a blade that's been sharpened away to all hell. It's also been buffed to the point where it's now dull, and got some of the handle in the process.
A bit odd...as I've never had something like this from them. I got a replacement Wave at the beginning of the year, and it was totally kosher. This is...disappointing. What should I do? Call them, or just send it back again with a note?
I attached a picture, with my Wave blade for reference.

I had a similar problem with a Juice model a while ago. I'd suggest calling them and letting them know what happened and I'm sure they will go out of their way to make it right.

Exactly what Def said.
Sorry to hear about your experience with there customer service. I would definately call and politely tell them what happen and how dissapointed you are. I would also request a shipping label so you dont have to eat the cost of sending it back again.

My replacement Wave had a few defects. I was happy to get it replaced after the amount of time I had the original though. I just assumed that perhaps they gave out factory 2nds for the warranty jobs.

I'll call them today, and ask about it.
I'm sure it'll be fine, just bummed about it since the blade was fine on it going in.

I find it interesting how different the thumb hole looks too. Very strange all the way around.

I just wanted to add a finishing update on this.
After I had spoken to a warranty person at LM, she emailed me a shipping label and had me return the tool directly to her.
It took a fair bit of time, but I got it back today, and it's now resolved. They just put a new blade on it, which is all it needed anyway.
I'm happy to have my Charge AL back, and in good shape.

That's great news indeed! I figured they'd make it right, as one thing LM seems to do well is warranty service and keeping customers happy.
