Hiya! I'm Ashley, longtime lurker--I finally decided to make an account to get in on the fun. I run the gear website The New Artemis, and I'm an editor of AllOutdoor.com. Until recently I also ran a community tool library, and last month I graduated from grad school. :tu:

I've loved multitools since I was a kid--my uncle used to give me a SAK when I lost a tooth and I've been a fan ever since. I was also a Girl Scout and multitools come with the territory. These days I'm quite partial to Leathermans; I have a few I alternate as my EDC.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to chatting with you all often. Cheers.  :cheers:

You'll be happy to know we have an emoticon dedicated to Ashleys. :whistle: Try typing : ashley : without spaces to find out. ;)


Also a slight correction in the Eric interview. "Leatherman Skeletool CX (first edition PE 154cm)." The first edition CX was a CE-combo edge, not a PE-plain edge.


As for painting your skeletool white, you'd better contact Eric/Metropolicity about that. That would require full disassembly or the tool, not only screws, but the rivets too and have it ceracoted then. Just painting it will peal off easily. Jeff Forbush did the ceracoting for him I believe.
