Opinel Food Preparation Knife - Which one?
on: February 15, 2014, 08:03:13 AM
Looking for helpful recommendations on what could be my first Opinel for cutting & preparing mostly vegetables and fruit - would also be used as a personal kiwi fruit knife too.

So what say you? Have another option you care to add? Voting up for 7 days.  :D

I use the spear point #8 Jardin. The clip points are possibly better for meat but for vegetables the spear point excels and gives a place to put your index or thump for precise control. Or I'm just spoiled by Swiss Army Knives? Probably not, most vegetable knives I lnow of are drop or spearpoints.

I use a blue opinel paring knife in the kitchen quite a lot.  :)
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

The first thing I thought of was #8 but I see you have that part covered. :D

A traditional #8 INOX is what I've been using for some years now. Works great.
