I decided to downsize my Vic's so I am putting up some for sale. This sale is for a Like New Champion Plus (light carry marks on scales but tools excellent) and a NIB Vic SOS kit together as a set for one price.

Priced for quick sale using Paypal. $72.95 shipped CONUS. I am willing to ship outside of CONUS with additional shipping cost.

Email me at "mjp2k AT hotmail DOT com" or PM me with any questions. Posted in multiple forums so date/time stamp wins!

Thx. for looking! :salute:

Free Bump - this is a very good price - It´s lower than what used ones are usually going for here in Germany.

What tools does this Champion have?  Grey mag glass?  Clear plastic lens?  Clear plastic w/glass lens?  Full tang or narrow tang main blade? etc....

The Champion Plus has all the tools that the Swisschamp does except for no pliers!  The mag is clear plastic w/plastic lens and I have no idea what you are referring to with full tang vs narrow tang! :)

Thx.

Thanks for the pic.  I fully understand what a Champion Plus is, I just wanted to know what "era" it was from.  The tang of the main blade on older Vics is the full width of the layer, and the newer ones are narrower with a spacer.  Since yours has a clear plastic mag, it would likely have the narrow-width tang also.  These items can help determine the age of the knife.  I tend to buy SAKs with a certain combination of tools (from a certain year range), thus my questions.

See here.  On the left is a CT41 with a narrow-tang main blade.  On the right is a Champion with a full-width tang main blade.  Hopefully this is clear enough to show what I mean.:

Oh, got it!  The pic you posted helped!

I looks more like the CT one.  I have a second Champion Plus that also has a clear plastic mag but the mag can be popped out but the blade looks the same as the other one.

Thx.

Yeah, the one that can be popped out is glass.  It is newer than the plastic one, so it will definitely have the narrow-tang main.

It's just my preference, of course... They all work great, I just prefer the older ones with the grey mag because it is glass and the phillips is longer.  All of the ones with the old-style mag glass will also have the wider tang.

Sorry for mucking-up your for sale thread!  This really is a great deal with the SOS kit.  :tu:

Well, might as well muck up the thread as I dont have any takers so I guess it isnt such a "great deal" to all the folks here!

Thx.
Mike

P.S.  I just received an old swisschamp that has the old mag and the thicker tang deal.  Just looked and never notice the difference. Thx for explaining it!

 If I would not own exactly the same kit (thus with an older champion) I would feel tempted.
Somebody buy that thing!

Dont you need another one?  Maybe for backup or second Champ Plus? :)

I am willing to seperate if someone just wants the SOS Kit or just the Champion Plus but I got to tell you, I cant give you as good of a deal like it is now for both items but I will try!

Thx.

I already bought a SOS kit from Mike and would like to say that in the pouch one can fit with ease a Swisschamp, a Cybertool 41 or even a Swisschamp XLT. I regularly carry my XLT in the Pouch. And keep some additional Cybertool bits under the flap. You can also fit a Maglite Solitaire instead of the sharpener. So it is EDC capable in Urban enviroment also.

You can fit a Maglite next to the swisschamp, Champ Plus or whatever one you are carrying by turning the sak so it is in an up/down way in the pouch.  As long as the pouch isn't too stiff! :)
