Got this in a bulk purchase. Any thought as to the year and value?
Has brass key ring and liner.

Likely the mid to late 80s, which is the range I've known most brass-lined Pioneers to come from. Could be early 90s. There are some Pioneers I have from the early 80s, without brass liners. I haven't found much of a pattern really...but others would likely have more concrete information than me.

Value depends primarily on the condition.

That's a nice looking piece though; would make a comfortable user.  :)

Could barely open it when I got it. Soaked it in wd40 and most of the snap is back. Have to work with it some more but will probably start carrying it.

Yeah I got myself one of those a little over a year ago and so wish I bought the remainder of what was left! JR

That is a beauty.  To me, that would be a great user.  Nice find.  :)

I find that working some Flitz polish into the tangs and working it will help smooth it out. You have to be careful and not polish too much away, but it's fairly fine and hasn't harmed anything on my tools yet. Once you do that, a very thorough wash with some degreasing detergent and a toothbrush will get rid of the polish and muck. Then some Nano-Oil after drying, and it's like new.

I hope you enjoy it.  :D
