FS Leatherman Rebar (NO LONGER FOR SALE)
on: March 04, 2014, 11:09:19 PM
I own a leatherman rebar that does not get used due to buying a leatherman crunch.

The rebar has never been carried, but I did swap the tools around in it to see if I could make it suit me, but in doing so I have left marks on the screw/pivot.

I did not like the idea of having to put it back together and cause any more possible damage to the screw/pivot head so I have left it safe in a small box with all the bits and washers.

£35 + P&P sounds like a decent price for it, but I am willing to accept offers. I can post pictures on request.

Looking at it again, there is some very light rust in places which could be taken off fairly easily.

Oh I don't know, it looks fine to me. Just needs a quick touch up with some steel wool and it's good to go. :salute:

The Crunch and Rebar are a great combo.
Put the smurfen thing back together (using the Crunch) and keep it.
A little damage to the screw doesn't matter, it is a tool, it needs wear marks.
As for a little surface rust, who gives a smurf.
Arr, can you not fix that for me with that tool. I see it has a scratch by the pivot screw and some minor rust spots.

The reason for the sale was mainly due to me disliking the layout after buying one. The type of usage it would have gotten, it made more sense to use the proper tools as space/weight are not an issue. I played around the tools a little to see if I could modify it with a different tool layout for a very specific task which in the end did not work out (to the point the tool has never been carried). It was very lightly scratched, but metro (Eric) gave me some very good advice which no doubt saved the screws a little.

I may just assemble it again and try carrying it for a few days to see if my heart has changed for it.
