I just noticed that Spartan knives are made in North Carolina.  Near Fort Bragg, or whatever the new name for the place is now.  Southern Pines actually.  Think golf.  I'm farther west in the state.  Say Lefty.  Can you actually carry one of those to the store without having people making bulgy eyeball faces and walking the other way?  Best wishes. In southern parts these days it will be bad looks and call to the police I reckon. Unless the outfit is clearly of construction/hunting/farming/forestry variety, that just might save your bacon.
In Helsinki however they will lock you up and throw away the key

I’ve had this for idk how long, but I haven’t worked on any for so long, so this morning I decided to have a go, yet after about 5hrs I only made it to step 16 after only using 51 pieces, and yet that’s all that’s done! Look how small it is, I put it next to an 85 evolution..

It’s what’s called a metal earth, it’s a model which comes absolutely flat and you have to form every piece, there’s no glue each piece connects to others using little tabs which slide threw a little hole and you either have to twist or bend it on the other side forming a connection..
As for the Wenger, thanks, it was a custom I made, I’m just not to thrilled with the evo grip, I’d rather have the flat and full size..

      I think I saw someone with a metal earth T-34.  Is that possible?  Looked fine when it was finished.  I never really knew anything about them.  Wenger looks like something to be proud of too.  That's what I like about this site.  I learn something new every day.  Best wishes. Gary

Cool.  Anything that's fun, I'm for it.  Within legal and moral limits.  I think the only thing I don't like so much personally about the Evo series is how the scales overlap the liners so much.  I still like them pretty well anyway.  Best wishes.  Gary

I showed a photo of my Metal Earth T-34 in the Tween Challenge, but here it is again.

      I ALMOST got a fight between a young raccoon and two skunks.  In my back yard.  Not the very best place since the skunks use chemical weapons.  Good sense (scents?) prevailed however and the chicken bones sort of got shared.  The still was taken from infra red night video. 
      That looks like a pretty nice Juice copy, Dan.  The tween challenge was before I started here, but I saw some of the posts.  Might have seen that T-34.  Don't know.  Best wishes.  Gary

Err, chemical warfare,, them guys ain’t to fun! We used to go to a resort over in Pa, great place, yet one morning we walked into a part to see a few things and all of a sudden a nice plump skunk walked around the corner, inside the building, we slowly started to back up and try to get to the door and all of a sudden the lady who was in charge was like “oh stop, it’s ok, he’s my pet” we were like ah huh, and still wanted out, so she picks it up and says “see, he’s good, come over and pet him, he loves that” so we did, not one smell or anything, and sooo soft! She found him as a baby before he ever sprayed and kept him as a pet,, interesting..

Nice group, but I have to admit...the Micro Machines steal the show. I grew up with (and still have them) Matchbox cars and Hotwheels.

I knew Lowe's carrying Klein Tools would be bad for my budget. And, er, it was the first time I stepped foot in there.

They carry some of the things State Electric doesn't, but the real problem is that Lowe's is half the distance, and I'm in there 10x as much.  It's not worth the extra distance to Harbor Freight (about an extra ten minutes) or Rural King (an extra 20).

I will admit I spent way more than I should've. I'm currently replacing a lot of poorly designed, junk, or worn out/abused tools I either found, inherited, or got in lots with stuff that actually works, and removing stuff that was replaced, but still carried around in my bags and boxes. The strippers replace a pair someone borrowed to cut rebar binding wire and didn't tell me. I didn't have a good pair of full-size cutters, and the 65200 is one heckuva tool. Bags helped me rearrange my toolbox. The screwdrivers are to give me a spare of the flat-blade, and a decent Klein Phillips--my old one had been damaged and worn-out from abuse by my Granddad.

The next trip's goal  is to replace the cable cutter that the previous owner tried to use on steel cable, not electrical

Well heck yeah! I love watches, I just looked over at my collection and noticed one was missing, like uhh :think: and to top it off it’s a special one, I like ones that do unique things, I have three that are solar, three that are self winding, yet two are atomic, and this is one of them, it doesn’t really do much more, it’s not self or solar, but the way it sets is funny, cause if you notice there’s no crown,, so here’s a video of how it does it, I’m kinda after another, I have a G-shock which is both solar and atomic, but it’s digital, I’d like to get an analog that’s both solar and atomic..
