best multitool for pliers use comfort?

Hi,
I am trying to choose what two multitools to buy, the most important thing really is that the pliers must be comfortable to use as they will be used for extended periods of time. they are for my portable chainmail making setup. it would also be helpful if the pliers were sprung. I would prefer to get two different ones really but that isn't totally necessary.
I have been doing some research and it seems that the gerber radius, leatherman wave, surge or charge may be what i am looking for, although the charge does seem quite expensive.
any recommendations please?
thanks in advance!

The Gerber Legend has awesome, spring loaded pliers and very comfortable handles. The downside is that the jaws don't open that wide.
Wenger Minigrip I haven't tried, but it seems to fit the bill, too. However, it doesn't fold up.
Edit: since you'll be working with chains, you may find use for the Paratool's rotating pliers. Not spring-loaded, as far as I know.

I would imagine you'd need Needle nose pliers when working with chainmail, otherwise I'd recommend getting a Spirit, as I find the Charge somewhat less that hand friendly
And welcome to the forum
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

I was thinking about starting into chain mail (too many hobbies already!) and I thought that the SOG PowerLock might be the best bet since the compound leverage system would reduce fatigue.
SOG PowerLock
Remember though that any multi is going to be heavier and more awkward than a set of dedicated pliers, and so you may be better off buying something more ergonomically sound for chain mail work.

I agree with others here. For best results get a dedicated pair of pliers. Every multi-tool is a compromise of some sort. They're a "Jack of all trades, master of none".
However, the best feeling multi-tool pliers I've used is the Vic Spirit.

SOG have really comfortable handles when using the pliers, except if you remove the tool covers on the Powerlock
