95mm Victorinox Soldier
on: March 18, 2014, 12:33:28 AM
Had posted it in here

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php?topic=51070.0

but then i thought I would treat it to its own thread :)

Nowhere near as cool as the Model 290 but my "Odd size" knife is a soldier from I guess around the same time measuring in at 95mm

There will not be a knife to match, let alone top, the model 290 for quite some time I'm afraid.  :(

What makes you call this one a Soldier?

Well all the blades are the same as the 100mm 1901 soldier ... maybe a pioneer then :)

So this isn't the regular (quite rare) 1901 Soldier - it's a slightly smaller version?

So top to bottom

100mm 1901 soldier .... a bit ratty but same size as the replicas
95mm odd one
100mm 1908 soldier
93mm 1951 soldier

By all means, nice "odd size" score, John. I never see that size before... I would love to get some information on this one.
