You really do get what you pay for!
on: April 13, 2014, 10:58:16 PM
I was going though my bedside table, looking for my Hunstman SAK, as I had somehow lost my SAK Cybertool 41 on the trail (so very sad).

I found the Lever 2000 Multitool that came free with 12 bars of soap.  I opened it up to take a look, and remembered that I had used it once before.  I think I had tried to un-stick a nut on a bed frame or something.  I don't know why I didn't just chuck it right away!

Wow...

Of course it's twisted, it's made from soap!

When I saw the the thumbnail of this pic, I thought one part of the pliers was broken, but this is even worse.

I guess you can save time and money when making budget tools by skipping heat treating! Or.. using metal that cant be heat treated! :D

That looks so bad its funny!  Im sure you can send it in to Lever for prompt repair service!

I think I have the same that came with another product. I was afraid the plastic handles would break, not the plier head. It is somewhere in one of my telescope accessories case, in case I forget my SAK/ Spirit behind. I guess I should throw it away after that, it could break a mirror or lens!

Have you tried using a Leatherman or Swisstool to bend it back?  :D
