OK, I gave up on amazon.de and contacted the seller directly and managed to get one.  They only had 4 left, talk about cutting it close!

Anyway I'm  until  :mail:

Would love to get at least 3 black pioneers, but living in Asia sucks since they don't import them where I live  :(.

Last time I looked at Swissknifeshop.de the price for a blue Farmer was 42-43 euros, something like that.

Now it's 58.90!

(And sold out, but that's beside the point.) Kind of scummy of them to raise the price that much just because an item is selling well. The black Farmers - also a mere 58.90 from the Swissknifeshop - can be purchased from Italy for around 33 euros.

Wish I'd bought a Blue Pioneer for 39 Euros...

The blue Pioneers weren't available. I got an email from the seller that Victorinox didn't deliver those and my pre-order got refunded.

I forgot to update, got an email yesterday and these are in fact a store exclusive, so not available worldwide. I wonder what the minimum order for a store is, 500 I'm guessing.

I really don't know Mike.

Here is a pic of colors in which the Pioneer was produced .

I read somewhere that Vic produced one in brown.

Here is a link to production data.

http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Victorinox+Pioneer

Pioneer and Farmer colors aren't related.

Currently in production are only the silver worldwide, black from Italy, orange only by one shop in the US and I think they're sold out currently, and the red and blue this thread is about. There were some colors in the past but in the recent years only the limited runs of 50 or 100 were in other colors except silver. And all of those are now quite a bit pricey.

Dig through here if you're interested.

I cant bear to sell any of my SAKs, regardless. After losing all but one in a fire, it's paramount that I always have some....a yet to be defined illness I suppose.

If anyone can get a hold or already have a Pioneer is something other than black and silver that they wanna get rid of, let me know.  Perhaps someone abroad can get me one that isn't available here!  I am not gonna try to collect all the colors or anything like that, just want a different color or two! :)

I could trade an orange Farmer! :)

Thank you Colt!!!  That is very kind but that was way back in '06 and I have rebuilt my collection over the years back when they were cheap.

This was the Only SAK left...my first Pioneer. I thought they were all lost but found this one in my truck toolbox where I had used it, laid it down and forgot it.

Where I am now....(ALOX-wise)  I missed 2 in the pic.

So I'm ok now but still have a real emotional thing about Red ALOX!  :salute:

Thank you!

The green one is an Apocalypse Green Farmer.

I had rebuilt some of my cellidor collection but focused mostly on Alox. Now the Alox prices are forcing me to start buying cellidor again.

I had the chance to buy one of the Apocalypse Green Farmers when they were released, but did not find that particular shade of green appealing. After seeing them for a month or so I regretted not getting one when I had the chance.  :twak:

LOL...yeah they are.  Sorry Gene but I'm going make spears out of them. They are probably just the right temper after going through that fire. Told my Grandson that I'd teach him how to throw them. He nuts about that stuff after I showed him how to throw knives, old files and screwdrivers.
