Good choice, the pro-scout is a very nice model with those great scissors and the bit adapter helps to make up for the tool's stubby drivers  :multi:.  Add a SAK of your choice and you will no longer care about the mp600 blade being kind of awkward :tool:.

The tool coupler was a determining factor in choosing this model.I won't carry their bits because I have a small tube filled with 30 bits that fits a 1/4" drive but I did need the coupler.
That's a lot of bits! I like that idea :tu:

The LM bit adapter fits the MP600 Phillips.

That's good to know.Does that LM adapter allow you to use any 1/4" bit or are you relegated to using LM bits only?

I was looking to buy that LM kit after discovering it was necessary to allow my ST300 to use additional bits.

That tube formerly held a Carlsons choke tube.It currently holds 26 bits and an adapter.Without the adapter and packed to the max, it will hold approximately 30 bits.

It will fit any standard 1/4" hex bits, but be aware that they may get stuck in the adapter since the slot is deeper to fit the double-sided Leatherman Bits. The standard hex bit will sit deeper and the ring inside the slot that holds the double-sided Leatherman bits in, will also hold the standard hex bit from easily being pulled out with your fingers.

Use the longer bits or the extension so it's easier the remove from the adapter.

I can´t say that I have experienced all Gerbers there are. But I have four Mp 600 and I sure like them.
But it´s very often that I bring my mp 400 instead. It´s small yet very capable.
I don´t know if it´s the best in every aspect but it´s my favourite and see a lot of use.
