Battery Charger
on: February 11, 2014, 02:30:18 AM
I'd like to start running all my lights off rechargeable batteries

I need something that will charge  rcr 123, 18650,aa,14500, and AAA

I'd like to get something that will charge them all

if there is such a thing.

I'd buy the batteries at the same time if I could get deal.

I did search through some old topics but I figured technology might have improved.

I'm not a flashlight expert so I don't read candelpowerforums please don't tell me to look there. It hurts my brain :ahhh

thanks

maha chargers have a good reputation but I've been using the nitecore intellicharger i4 ver2 for some time now and love it. There's a new version coming out soon as anounced on SHOT, with a more detailed display but the old one is still great.

There's also an "improved version" the i4 PRO.

The Nitecore Intellicharger I4 Ver. 2 is a great charger. Charges everything I have and is simple to use. You won't regret the purchase.

For batteries, I only use high quality protected cells. All of mine are either made by AW or Eagletac.

The nice thing about the i4 is that each charging bay is a separate circuit, so you can charge single batteries.

If you want a basic charger its great. It doesn't do any of the really fancy things like telling you what your battery capacity is, but for me that's a bit pointless and I prefer the simplicity.

Worth noting is that it's best/advisable to charge AAAs on it in pairs (either dock 1 and 3, or 2 and 4). But that's a small price to pay for the versatility this charger offers.

My i4 Intellicharger arrived a couple of days ago and I am glad to see that everyone else here seems to think highly of it.  I mostly wanted it for the 18650 batteries I ordered to go along with a new light I got.  The light is here, the charger is here but the batteries have yet to arrive.   :ahhh

I am glad to hear that it will charge CR123 batteries though, as I have some rechargeable CR123's but the charger I have only charges one at a time.  Not bad since the light I got them with only uses one at a time so you have one to use and one to charge, but if I want to use them with my OLight I need them both.

Yup, and I still plan to use them for the most part.

However I got this really cool light that claims to spit out 3500 lumens and I just had to get one.  You never know when you will need to signal orbiting spacecraft.

Just throw some AAs in there with washers to take up the extra space.
