The nice thing about the i4 is that each charging bay is a separate circuit, so you can charge single batteries. The world belongs to the funkiest.
If you want a basic charger its great. It doesn't do any of the really fancy things like telling you what your battery capacity is, but for me that's a bit pointless and I prefer the simplicity.
Worth noting is that it's best/advisable to charge AAAs on it in pairs (either dock 1 and 3, or 2 and 4). But that's a small price to pay for the versatility this charger offers.
My i4 Intellicharger arrived a couple of days ago and I am glad to see that everyone else here seems to think highly of it. I mostly wanted it for the 18650 batteries I ordered to go along with a new light I got. The light is here, the charger is here but the batteries have yet to arrive. I am glad to hear that it will charge CR123 batteries though, as I have some rechargeable CR123's but the charger I have only charges one at a time. Not bad since the light I got them with only uses one at a time so you have one to use and one to charge, but if I want to use them with my OLight I need them both.Def
