Tools (includimg file) will, but unsure of blade; maybe try a modern type wharncliffe, and grind excess if any? Good luck.

If I remember rightly the mp400 uses the same knife blade , I’m pretty sure this is true as the nail nick is on the inside of the handle. It’s unlikely Gerber would manufacture a specific blade for the MP400 and the put the nail nick on the wrong side

I noticed that several members have removed their sight tool and replaced it with something more to their liking. I personally like the sight tool…does anyone have one (or two) not in use that they would like to sell? :multi:

So, I had knee surgery on Monday and have had a bit of time on my hands. I took an old MP600 BO, sanded/polished/notched the side of the frame, recontoured the plier head, added a pocket clip, and threw in tools from the MP600 BO, eFect, Suspension, and Suspension NXT using hardware from an MP700 Urban Legend.  I had one more spot left, so I drilled out the Simonds file from a Version 5 Multi-Plier and reshaped the pivot a bit. I really like the results...my second bladeless tool!

I have to give credit to Sam Lim Shuang Ping from the Multitool.org FB site...he posted pics of one of his MP600s that inspired me!  :cheers:

Since 2019 Gerber have been stamping production codes on the inside of their MP600’s , has anyone got one that has the code on the inside of BOTH handles ?

Thanks Juan , i have 2 needle nose and one blunt nose , one of the needle nose is stamped twice ( one on each handle ) . I did wonder if it’s something they started to do then decided it wasn’t needed.

Also I used to think it was a date code but now I’m not so sure , my theory is the last two digits are the year but the first three are the factory or country code of manufacture

It is also my understanding that the last two numbers of the code are the year, but the first three might be model number; all my MP600's (6) begin with 087, while the NXT's (2) begin with 915, Dime with 466, and EAB Lites(5) with 897.

I totally agree with the last two digits being the year but I don’t think the first three are model numbers because my Mp600’s , Strongarm , Fastball and impromptu pen ( all U.S made or assembled ) start 087

Just got a new Mp600 in black and was surprised to see they add the black oxide finish to the serrated blade after the edge has been ground. Never seen this before on a blade
