Added a bugout mini to my collection.  I can always tell when I've bought a quality knife as the first time I handle it I always manage to cut myself.   :rant:

Got a nice "oldie" recently : Benchmade 720S(T?), semi-serrated ATS-34 blade, black anodized aluminium body
"PRE-PRODUCTION RUN 0014/1000"
Looking at the benchmade catalogs I could find it predates 1999 (couldn't find any catalog from before 1999)
If anyone has some more info on that model, I'd be glad to read  :hatsoff:

This is one of my favorite fixed blade.  I use it a lot for work.  I was not a fan of the sheath mostly cause it was meant for military use?  I added the paracord and dangler so I could carry off my belt.  Its worked nicely and the sheath is actually really good at retaining the knife.

And a wonderful family it is.  I was slow to Bench Made.  I found it hard to believe how good they are.  I was so wrong.  Such a good knife.

Got my first Benchmade in 2011, a Benchmite with levitator lock, a cool little knife, but very average in quality/usability.
I've always been lurking at their knives, they seemed of good quality but quite expensive compared to others...
So I waited 2021 before I got my first minigriptilian  :facepalm:

Here are my few Benchmades.

They are good quality, so why don’t I have more?  I think it’s a combination of not finding many of their designs appealing, along with relatively high prices.

I’m intrigued by the Weekender, but with the street price looking like $225, I probably won’t be getting one unless I find one deeply discounted.
