I made the decision that if I just buy a tiger shark it removes this awful should I or shouldnt I dilemma. So I have one coming.   :D

$110 on ebay was a fine price... now what will I do with it?  Dunno, but at least I dont have to keep wondering if I should buy it... phew...

very relieved to hear that you solved your dilemma!

let me know how the knife explains to your wife why it needed to come home with you... I have a couple knives that have some explaining to do as well... :D

Dammit! As I had the same issue about the SOG Tech Bowie, and just spotted one for $117 on the bay, I decided I the best I could do to keep on avoiding to drool on the knife and keep going back and forth on buying or not, was to just hit the buy button.

everyone needs a big crazy knife that looks way too Rambo-ish
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

Yup!  I will tell my wife its for 'research'.  I tell her that about most of the random knives I buy...   since one day I want to make knives for a living.. need lots of research blades...

Cool!  Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on that.  Thanks to you mentioning that knife its on my short list for future impulse buys.  I might have also bought that but I have a Fallkniven F1 that just arrived to play with.

It's shipping from the US, it can take a week or two before it gets here...

Tigershark arrived! And its just as ridiculous as I imagined, I love it! :D

I actually got another Fallkniven in as well, the tried and true F1.  Ive wanted one for ages and impulse ordered that as well.  I have the A1 as well and I still love it very much, but wanted the small version.

Here is the tigershark with the Fallkniven A1.  The A1 is a BIG knife.  The tigershark is a machete knife.  Its really not in the same league as the Fallkniven but its also about half the cost.  My next giveaway will be chosen by throwing the tigershark... :D

Impressive knives! All 3 of them. The Fallkniven are praised all over about their quality, but SOG gets quite a lot of mud thrown these days. How's the factory edge, and the general finishing on it? And does it come with spikes to screw on the hand guard?

The tigershark is razor sharp and quite decent for the price.  $110 USD for a monster knife like that is about right in my mind.  No way is it worth the MSRP of $225.  It comes with a pommel cap thats pointed too, but I took that off and the hand guard as well as its too much in the way for my liking.

Fallkniven will always be my favorite of the big knives and a japanese blade is going to beat something made in Taiwan.  I know there are alot of big knife makers out there, but I really dont care for anything that is coated or non stainless.

I can fit a full size MT in the sheath pouch no problem, its quite ridiculous but I needed one big knife in the collection!

Thanks Enki, fierce seems a good description.

I took it to the strop, now it is sharp enough for me, I also removed the belt clip for a slimmer package. So far, it leaves a very good first impression.

I'll be honest, I'm still surprised those things are legal in Canada.

Cool knife, though.
