Greetings and salutations.
on: May 22, 2014, 03:51:30 PM
Hey all,

Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I'm from New England but have been living in Asheville, NC for many years. I work for a chemistry company (Buckman Labs) in their paper technologies division. Basically, it means I spend my days in a paper mill working with all sorts of heavy equipment, pumps and analysis equipment. Plenty of opportunities to brandish whatever MT I have on me that day. I have a small but growing collection. I'll attach a photo of some of the MTs and knives; basically what was in the house at the time. I've been reading the board for a little while now in lurk mode but the urge to trade out my Recoil has brought me out into the light. Look forward to chatting with/learning from y'all!

Welcome. Do yourself a favor and hide your wallet immediately. These guys usually lure innocent bystanders - like you and me - into being new multitool once every other week. ;D

That's some fine enabling there, Tom! What is a multitool collection without an MP600?

Welcome aboard!!  As Tom mentioned, you NEED a Gerber MP600 (preferably a blunt nose one) :D and you need to get some SAK's to keep ole Kirky happy.  You won't like him when he's angry!  :pok: :ahhh

Have a little browse through this thread http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,37820.0.html, and if you manage to not go on eBay and go nuts buying SAK's, then you my friend have some VERY strong willpower... which by the way, isn't something too common here!

I actually have a few SAK's around, just didn't have them at hand for the photo. One is a Wegner Eddie Bauer Camper. Somewhere I should have a 25 year old Swiss Champ but it was an unfortunate victim of being in one of the boxes that unintentionally and unexpectedly wound up in storage for 8 years.  We move into our new house next Tuesday so we should be reunited soon :)
