Are there any differences between the new and old model Leatherman Juice S2's ?

I'm unable to distinguish and difference between the two other than appearance.

I like the appearance of the old S2 compared to the new two-tone model. If there is some benefit to the new S2 I will ignore the appearance issue and buy it.If however there is no substantial difference between the two I would buy the older model.

Thanking our knowledgeable members in advance.

The ass-rammers shortened the blades on all the new 2-tone Juices.

That is the primary difference as far as I know.  It does look silly, especially if you're already familiar with the old version.

He's referring to the knife blade.  I myself am not sure of any other changes other than the two-tone look.

OK,thanks for your replies.

That's not an issue for myself because I always have another knife with me at all times.

I really wanted the smallest Leatherman available with viable pliers.

The Mini would be good if all you want is pliers, as Etherealicer said.  The Juice S2 is probably the next option.  Heck, a PST would be a good option as well, depending on your limit for carry.  It's slim and lightweight, and would offer more of a tool loadout than the S2.  The S2 is a good all arounder for basic needs though, so that may be your best option.  And based on your last comment, the S2 is the only available model out of the three options I mentioned.

SSHHHHHH!  Quiet.

You're providing some reasoning and rationale for not buying a new tool.

I would definitively go with that PST

Alternatively, you could also get a Freestyle ore a Skeletool.

Thanks.

I saw that in another thread.

I have an original from '86 that I bought after a trip to Colorado and after using my buddy's PST.

It's hard to resist the retired LM's though ;)  But if you already have a PST, then you should just get an S2.  Or the Freestyle or Skeletool as Etherealicer suggested.  That depends on the type of tool loadout you would like, and if you need OHO blade.  You said you carry a knife anyway, and I'm assuming that it's OHO, so you may just want the S2.  Either way, buy something ;) :pok:

It's all about having the choice to create a multitude of different tool load-outs.

The more tools to choose from the more different load-outs.

You sound like my wife now! "But honey why do you need that one ,you already have one like it".

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I'm just doing some much needed purchasing after a long hiatus from multi tools.I've spent my resources on Randall Made knives these last few years.
