My meager photographic skills can't capture the fine detail in these well made knives.

These 111's and some others, such as the Rescue,Workchamp and even the lowly Sentinels, are very cool knives.

I believe some knife makers, such as Spyderco, have overpriced their products especially when comparing them to Victorinox.

I'm really grateful that Victorinox exists.I would hate to think what the knife world would be like without the presence of Victorinox.

Hoorah !

I agree about the overprice comment.  Especially with Spyderco, Benchmade, Emerson, along with certain models of Kershaws and Leathermans(and I'm Leatherman's staunchest supporters)
Their prices do make Vics a great value for the price  :sak:

Very cool,especially the camo version.

I hesitated to buy the camo version simply because if I carried it and dropped it in the woods,I wouldn't be able to find it.LOL

I have a OHT NS and an Outrider. I really like the OHT. The Outrider is also nice but about the only time I think I would carry it would be camping.
I could see myself EDC'ing the OHT.
Wish they would come out with some 91 or 93mm versions with one hand opening and a lock.

Until yesterday I only owned one 111mm Vic, my '10 Soldier, but yesterday I bought myself a Hunter XT-CS, and today I bought two '10 Soldiers, one shelfqueen for me and one for my oldest son.

Here are some pics I took on friday (I already posted these in another topic yesterday, but here they are again  ;)).

Like I said in the other topic yesterday, these knives are about the sharpest knives (coming from the factory) that I own, all of them, including the two Soldiers I got today, are hair cutting sharp, never had a Leatherman that sharp straight out the factory ... (only ones that come close are the butterknives on my Spirits).

P.S.: No pics yet of the two Soldier knives I bought today ...  :-[.

I'm a fan as well, and the only one I have is the One Hand Master Road Tour.  Very cool knife indeed :tu:  Sadly, it doesn't usually make it into my pocket as it doesn't really fit into my typical carry lineups.  This is not a knock on the knife or its quality at all.  I really like it.

The 111 knives are great. I have recently become very fond of the Alpineer. Its comfortable handle, good size razor sharp locking blade and a lightwheigt but solid constuction, makes it a great EDC knife.

If Im in the woods, the knife is dummy corded and in a pocket to prevent loss

I like them a lot, and currently have a rescue knife and a forester. As Mike, Lord of the Spammers mentioned earlier in the thread, sadly they are not legal in the UK, which is a great shame (especially considering they can be bought openly here  ::) )

I just like their chunky feel, and the non-slip handles feel very good to use. One of Vic's best in my opinion  :)
