It healed pretty good, but I have no feeling in part of my thumb now.

The only part that hurt was the needle for the freezing.  I could feel my thumb bouncing on the cutter while it was spinning, and just thought, oh crap.  Looked at my thumb, and the blood started to pour out.  Grabbed a shop towel, and wrapped it up nice and tight, and off to get stitches I went.

Now I remember slicing the skin on my knuckle five years ago... by using a way too blunt for the plastic I was cutting knife... that's the only time when I needed stitches, thank God

If you look at the healed pic, the bumped out part has zero feeling.  Looking at the nasty pics, the entire section that was damaged has reduced feeling.

Oh, I also tried to file the bump down as I thought it was just dead skin.  I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing, and when I looked down, I had blood all over the place!

Here's one from a couple years ago. I was cutting off the tip of a tube of silicone caulking with a utility knife. The knife slipped and my hand wasn't in a good position. The  tip of the knife went in just below the knuckle out the other side and sliced a nice chunk of flesh.

  Those pics remind me of three times I've had to have stitches. I'm grateful I had me stitched up but I didn't enjoy any part of the incidents. I guess that last part makes me weird?

Good lord. I have yet to cut myself with a knife terribly. If I do go for it, it tends to be those paper type cuts that burns like the Dickens. Nothing serious.

I don´t tend to cut myself too much, at least not big...


Once, I cut myself badly with the awl on a SAK though.... Tried to unlock a zip tie, with the sharp awl, that I somehow used to tie myself to a post 


(I think I was 13 back then... the awl dug into the knuckle at the base of my middle finger. not fun But no stitches needed )

I currently have cuts on every finger of my left hand except the pinky.     Most are small though but Ive been working at night lately and getting more tired and careless.
