No way! That awl just drops into a 91mm frame?

They are the right shape, but have a 3mm hole instead of 2.5 mm.  Rahmed did you use a bushing or just let it ride with a larger hole?

Rahmed, do you think it would be possible to have that type of awl and the file/metal saw in the same layer on a 91mm frame?

i've done a small blade and a woodsaw on the blade spring layer... just need to use a small blade spacer on the saw end

I can't over the work you guys are doing. If I only had the time and space. For now it is only scales. This is one I am working on for my father-in-law. The bolsters are whitetail antler from a broken set that his father shot. His dad passed in Aug.

Yeah it's the green. I still have to do the other side and polish them. I've done G10 also. Like the canvas to work with much better. No itch after.

Or you could use the awl from an XAVT or XXLT :P

Well look at that, you learn something new every day!   :D   I had no idea that awl style was available on any 91mm SAK.  Those saks would be a goldmine for donor parts for sure, but quite expensive too. hmm...

My SAK buying activities are on hold for now... but I don't understand why your XAVT is still there!

Yep and they even have a blade layer with the hook, very cool if you want multiple hooks on your SAK but no corkscrew/Phillips :P

A new Executive with ebony scales without the decorative pins. The ebony has some delicate brown streaks what is not unusual. It depends on the light if you see it or not. I tried to catch it with the pictures.

And I made some new pictures of the mods I have already shown:

And polished the micarta a little bit:

With regard to the ebony or other scales, do you prefer the plain material or do you like additional decorations?

very tough call.  Today I'll say that I prefer them without the pins, but if you ask me again tomorrow then I might have a different answer. :D
