Two regular pioneers were the latest to come off my modding bench.  I thought they would be super quick but they ended up taking just as long as other mods since the pins have to be shortened and each screw has to be filed down to 1/8 of threading.  They came out nice though and I'm really loving that hard red alox.  Im for sure running that again for my next batch.

Cheers!

Looking good, how about a different colour on either side? Black and red / red and blue / blue and black.

This is custom work and I know that the guy who bought these wanted them just as regular Pioneers in this colors. ;)
But if you want to order differend colors scales Symp007 will made them for you for sure.

Not from me, but nice and being worth to be shown in my opinion. A Recruit in cherry wood. I was involved a litthe bit by treating the wood with oil, and perhaps I make it  a little bit shinier with carnauba wax, if I feel like it.

The next is from me but a kind of experiment. A Prince in a grooved black canvas micarta, being left, at the moment, in a "file rough" state. In this state you can see and feel the "textile" structure very clearly. I dont know at the moment if it would be preferable to polish it. My moods change...

On the other side, the groove pattern is more wildly

Now that is a neat MOD!  :salute: :salute:

I like the fully serrated Victorinox blades in any size! Just as an FYI, they have 84mm, 91mm and 111mm sized fully serrated blades.

The awl was a PITA. I had to grind in nail grove to be able to access it. It is the wrong back spring for it. I used a blade back spring to get the serrated blade and combo tool to work. You need to open the cybertool bit holder or use the eyeglass screw driver to access it. I am sure there is a better way, but I couldn't figure it out.

Just a quick update for me. I'm back at it so there's more to come. I have 2 on the books right now. Adding scissors to a alox and a custom build for a member here. Both will be nice as always.

Nice work on those beauties. One question. Is there a reason you use black liners as opposed to directly on the aluminum?
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Nice one Sid. I always liked those jobs where the rivets follow the natural contours of the handle material.

thanks bushido

steve: 1 thing is what you said, in some cases the spacer gives a lot of suport for natural materials like horn or wood, sometimes they tend to twist with heat or humidity, the spacer gives more structure and strenght to the scale, and prevents water to damage the back of the scale.

BTW an all black soldier would be awesome
