Quote from: cgk on June 14, 2009, 03:27:53 AMI love that mini-saw!!Japan WoodworkerThe tooth pattern is the same as a SAK saw but the blade stock is thinner and more flexible. It cuts well and smoothly, but it requires a bit more care in use.
Has anyone else noticed the shortage of My First Victorinox knives? The standard nylon scaled model has disappeared from the vendors I normally use and the only variation I've been able to find is the Ruby scaled version.I wonder if Victorinox has chosen to drop the MFV.

Here is my layer mod the Waitress ...it is an 84mm with blade, nailfile, corkscrew, and plus scales
Quote from: yud on June 19, 2009, 08:42:58 PMHere is my layer mod the Waitress ...it is an 84mm with blade, nailfile, corkscrew, and plus scalesNice one I've really got to get round to tweaking the nail file to work on the 91mm frame. Silly little kick it has
If you do let me know my mom wanted a 91mm with the 84mm nail file
Quote from: yud on June 21, 2009, 03:11:19 AMIf you do let me know my mom wanted a 91mm with the 84mm nail fileShould be able to do it by having an additional pin between the outer liner and the next liner, perhaps with a bit of brass tube to the same dimensions as the main blade width to keep it all stable. Just haven't got around to trying it yet

It just seems like an obvious option looking at the rest of their lines.

Here's you a Cadet modded to become a melted 84mm Woodsman!CheersKnifecoop
