I feel as though I should say no because compliance isn't my thing ;), but unfortunately they are very comfortable! Compare to the PST (given that the Kick is basically the PST replacement) and you'll really appreciate the difference.

Yes, they're plenty good for an MT. If you squeeze really hard, it can get a little uncomfortable, but it's very nice overall IMO.

yes! while I'm not happy about plastic parts on my tools, it does serve a purpose and does the job.

Hi,

The Blast, with the same Zytel "Grips" as the Kick & Fuse is my EDC for about 50% of my time (Skeletool for the balance).  I like the tools on the Blast and I like the comfort from the PLASTIC.

Best - Joe

Actually, if you look at the similarities, the Kick is meant to be the replacement for the Sideclip.

Maybe you're right there. The Kick's meagre tool selection is closer to the Sideclip, (the Kick has one less flathead screwdriver I think), and of course there's the pocket clip, but in terms of timing, the Kick arrived as the PST "retired" didn't it?

I'm sure the Kick was aimed at the PST's market if not intended as a like for like replacement. The Sideclip didn't sell that many I thought (and I'm guessing really).

Probably the reality is that it was intended to replace both - who knows?

I used to come here a lot.

I would have imagined that a true replacement for the PST would be the Fuse, tool wise.

I would whole-heartedly agree if LTG had seen fit to put a file on the darn thing like it deserves.  >:(

It irritates me no end that LM won't produce a light (approx 5 oz.) weight model with a tool selection even as good as the old PST.

To get a modern LM at that weight (with full size pliers) I would have to sacrifice having a file.  That doesn't seem like progress to me.

Yes. Try to use the the Minitool or PST, you'll feel the difference.

Yes I've just been comparing them - and I'm inclined to agree.

They've even flattened one side of the plier heads on the Kick in honour of the Sideclip, which I hadn't noticed before.

I used to come here a lot.
