We actually do a burger special at my work. I work in a bbq joint, and we do burgers on the smoker for an occasional change. Angus beef stuffed with sharp cheddar, and the patty is wrapped with bacon. It cooks on the smoker for about an hour, then gets a piece of swiss for five more minutes to melt. Goes onto a fresh baked pretzel roll with onions and tomato. If you've never tried a smoked burger, you're missing out. It's phenomenal with our house bbq sauce.
I got me a burger, I got me a burger! I had to take the wife to her doctors and there's a nice little place around the corner from there, so, we stopped in and got a little lunch, of course I didn't have a camera to take a pic but she didn't finish hers and brought it home, so I took a pic of hers since it was the same thing, a bacon cheeseburger, and of course with fries! Yummm!! JR(Image removed from quote.)
That's it, I vow to no longer look in this thread. It makes me too damn hungry every time I do!!
I just glossed over this thread, been a bit tired today. (But I will read your posts later)In Germany, you basically have two choices: Würger King or McDoof (That's Choke King and McDaft, for you english speaking people )Most Imbisse (non-chain fast food restaurants) will also have Burgers, but bought frozen patties from lower quality than the big chains, you are better off with a Currywurst or Schnitzel. If you're lucky, you find a restaurant doing a better Burger, but don't count on it.So the best ones are homemade. We usually just grill the patties (usually 100% beef, sometimes 50/50 beef/pork) unseasoned and add cheese after flipping. Then stack them on the buns with slized pickled cucumbers, fresh slices of tomatoe and onions, salt & pepper on the patty, and ketchup+mustard on the buns.I have yet to try and make a burger sauce, any easily made varieties you can give me a recipe for? Nothing too fancy, please.Fun fact about McDonalds: If my intestines act up and chain me to the porcellain bowl, the only things I can keep down are Coca Cola, pretzel sticks and McD Cheeseburgers. I am afraid the answer to that is some kind of unpronouncable chemicals But I usually feel better after some Cheeseburgers

Nothing too fancy, please.Really easy:Mix barbecue sauce with ketchup add lots of fresh chili More seriously:1) stir-fry some onions in little oil until they are golden (~20min / Garlic is best added here, so are cumin or clove but these are optional)2) Add tomatoes (usually I take canned tomatoes)3) Add spices (dash of barbecue sauce, pepper, and smoked salt)Of course you can go crazy on Nr. 3 with:Chili, sambal oelek, roasted nuts, sugar, mustard seeds, herbs, curry powder, ras el hanout, garam, whatever else tickles your fancy.
I had a crappy burger at Wendy's last night. I was hoping to try the Pretzel burger, but they didn't have it.

We made some burgers today:(Image removed from quote.)These are the best burgers in town! Thank you, Schatzi! :-*-----------------------------Using a future communicator stolen from the NCC-1701
I really enjoy reading how people like their burgers. I love burgers myself, but ironically, what is most important to me is crunchy vegetables. Nice fresh salad, and lots of raw onion. I like the contrast between a juicy patty, the soft buns and the crunchy onion.
