Belts- Leather or Nylon?

If you guys are carrying a tool in the sheath what do you prefer nylon or leather belts? I like Nylon becuase it holds the tool well and it is comfortable even when tight!

I'd go with Nylon for the same reason, more comfortable

I always wear a leather belt, but I suppose I should try nylon. I haven't worn a nylon belt since I was in Boy Scouts.

I'm a Natural kind of guy.

I eat wholegrain bread, and I wear Leather belts.

I have several belts made of almost anything imaginable rope, hemp, nylon, leather, I even had a plastic belt. I would have to say that leather is my material of choice though. It just looks nicer and lasts a lot longer.

For me it's nylon. I don't like leather because when it gets wet it will cause corrosion on your tool.

The grommets look like you'd be able to attach a Tek Lok rig to it, but I don't have any Tek Lok rigs!

I like the Bison nylon belts. They last forever & are infinitely adjustable.

In many ways I want a Harness, but I'm a bit worried about it being used agin' me in a scuff.

do you mean for "permanent" carry? I have several tek loks and they "clip" over the belt, and you can lock the clip to be permanent.

Well i mosly use nylon/cordura belts out in the woods,with pouches and sheaths,over,my actual pant-holding belt that is mostly made out of cotton or so,its an us army issue,simple with slider buckle.

but othervise i use belts made from leather,i usually do it myself cause i cant just find so sturdy and simple one i want.

today i made this belt from 4mm saddle project leftovers.sorry for bad pics $:-\$

the buckle is going to be switched when i get my one done

Work wear is nylon but personal wear is leather cause I prefer the look as it ages and is far more comfortable for extended wear in my humble opinion

Leather for me I use something just like the one in Tarrodemierda's pics in brown or black for just about everything

Very tough but simple design very rugged

i use moslty nylon/cordura sheaths it seems,cause i havent found rough leather one,and im working on my own leather sheaths,that hold surge+pocketwrench+clipful of bits+surefire+and firesteel.it will be bit large i know,and im goin to put the beltloops in position that keeps the sheath in about 45 angle for easy access.

those rip off sheath/pockets intrest me but here arent one,so i dont have aclue of their quality etc.
