Off to Canadian Tire.
on: July 14, 2014, 04:49:50 PM
It has been some time since I organized my Canadian Tire money. I usually tend to keep these in the glove box of my vehicle, and also in my kitchen. Little did I know how much of the stuff I had accumulated. I figure it is high time to spend it on something. Not sure yet...but here is what $35.35 of Canadian Tire money looks like.

I remember I once had over $70 worth of it.  Almost needed a Brinks truck to carry it to the store for me!! :D

Sooo, what sharp and pointy thing will you come back with?  :pok:

There was a guy on the news a few years back that saved up his canadian tire money for his whole life, and then bought a riding mower.

Im not good with it, to be honest I usually forget it in the bag and it gets lost.  I usually stick it in that box on the way out now.

What the heck is Canadian Tire Money. I'm assuming it is some kind of reward system for shopping at their store.

It's like the points system you have at other stores but they print their own money.

Well it helped buy a Victorinox SwissTool RS. My thinking was I wanted to EDC one and my rule is if I do that, I need a duplicate. Well the joke was on me. When I got it home and opened the box, I noticed right off it is different from my other SwissTools. No painted Victorinox label on one side, and no symbol on the plier head. I can only assume that Victorinox did some changes once again.

they sure did. You have the newest model now.  :tu:  Your not going to carry it though.  I truly appreciate the irony as I am exactly the same.

I know some people don't like the red label they had, but I rather liked that.

It's a shame to see the pliers head without anything on them either. I'm sure it's all about cost cutting measures and its just sad to see basically everything on the face of the earth compromising product build quality to save a few bucks.

I can't imagine it's much of a cost cutting since the head is cast and they already have the mold.  ???

Chako looks like you'll need a new toolchest soon.  :D
