Look what I got today...

Before I joined multitool.org, I always wanted a Charge. TBH, this was only based on the fact that apart from cheap knock offs, I was only really aware of Leatherman's as they are the brand that is generally available here. In my time at MT.O, I have aquired many other different tools from other manufacturers, but I still lusted after the tool I wanted all that time ago. Well today, thanks to Mike, I finally have one, and not just anyone, a multitool.org one

I just hope this tool lives up to the expectations that I always had for it (thoughts to follow soon).

Just a quick update...

I have had the Charge for 2 days now and I have been very impressed so far. The blades open very smoothly and I like the ease in which the bits can be changed. The pocket clip is great as well and I feel a great addition to the tool.

So far, so good.

Although I like to have scissors, I am not too fussed about them being on my main EDC tool as I would always carry a SAK or Micra with it.

One thing I didn't think I'd like was the 2 bit drivers, but I am actually quite fond of that feature as it allows you to have 4 different drivers without the need of any extra bit kits or accessories. I like that idea.

How about the knife blade? The one-hand opening, liner locking blade is what really makes the Charge (and Wave) one of my favorites. I've become so accustomed to it that using two hands to unfold the knife on other multitools causes me to become momentarily annoyed.

I am very impressed with how smooth the blades open. The 154CM blade is damn sharp as well.

One other thing I forgot to mention was the size and weight. I think it's a really comfortable size to carry and the weight makes it feel reassuringly solid.
