How could I engrave something on the little rectangular space on the Alox scale?

What is it about the The Electrician blade that makes it so good? Is it the sheepsfoot blade design?

Something special you use it for?

Its designed to strip wires but I found its also the perfect tool to pop off SAK scales.

You need to find someone with an angraver. Either the old fashion way with a cutter or the "modern way" with a laser.

Some Victorinox retailers have cutter engravers.

You can also handwrite with an electrical pencil if you have really good handwriting.

I had this engraved with laser.

I bought two used Alox, Farmer and Solo. The Solo had some handmade engraving on it that ia erased, so I'm goimg to Dremel it out and try myself. I have an engraver I used on wood so far, let's see what it can do.

The Silver Alox's are very nice looking. I think the contrasting red shield really stands out.

Would love to see the whole collection sometime.

Thanks, I got caught up in collecting silver alox because I love the look, and there are so many different models.

I have another package coming next week and that will make 14 different models that I have in silver.

It's also great because the silver isn't priced like its made of unobtainium like some of the other options are.

Yeah, I have seen some colors go for some serious cash. Truth be told, Victorinox anodizes pretty soft and the color will most definitely wear off with pocket time.

But I still buy colors, I'm one of those suckers.

I've got some pieces of leather lying around, waiting for me to do the same...

How did you manage to have the stitches so neat and regular? Sewing machine?

Yes.  I use an old sewing machine with a heavy duty needle to punch the holes.  I slowly hand crank it, I don't use the power motor.  The thread is too heavy for my machine, so I hand stitch it using a saddle stitch.  Actually, a double saddle stitch, since the thread I'm using is smaller than that normally used with leather.  The thread is made by Gütermann which may be easier to find at a local fabric store than leather working thread and can be bought in small spools.
